All my pottery is handmade on the pottery wheel or slab built. The shiny white glaze on this pitcher and jar is called Majolica, which is the glaze and style of decoration using stains over the glaze. These pieces are wheel thrown, fired in the kiln, dipped in the Majolica glaze, carefully painted by hand with stains, and again fired to just under 2000 degrees.
